Ben Wyatt grew up in a family where film and documentary were always in the background. His grandfather was an avid filmmaker, traveller and lover of connecting with these journeys through storytelling. “His observations sparked an interest in us that made us appreciative of experience. My father’s cameras and capturing our life seemed so normal that it held an appeal to what’s in fact so important and that memories are all we really carry.” Studying art history and later creative advertising gave further commitment to understanding the language of communication through imagery. “Art photography is where I find a way to harmonise a world that is seemingly more confusing and noisy. But, if we just slow down and observe nature’s reflections, we realise its purity and clarity remain. This is my antidote to life’s journey.”
